Frequently asked questions

Before you come

Can I come alone, or as a couple?

Yes, and it is a lovely way to discover Mysa. There is only one table of twelve, which is the heart of the concept: many couples come and often leave with new acquaintances, and nobody really dines alone. If sitting close to others worries you, tell us: a seat at the end of the table is possible. For two or for twelve, the emotion is the same.

Is the menu fixed? Can we see it in advance?

Yes: one six-course menu, the same for the whole table, renewed roughly every six weeks. The course names of the current season are published on the Menu page; they give the spirit of the meal, but the chef keeps an element of surprise and adapts details to the harvests. If there is an ingredient you really dislike, mention it when booking and an alternative will be served. If it is only a mild reservation, give it a try: the way the ingredient is prepared often surprises.

Allergies, intolerances, vegetarian, pregnancy: can the menu be adapted?

Yes. A vegetarian version is available on request, allergies and intolerances (gluten, lactose, nuts…) are catered for, and mothers-to-be are welcome: the chef adapts the dishes concerned (raw products, raw-milk cheeses, alcohol in the pairings). Mention it in the field provided when booking or by phone.

How much does the evening cost, and are drinks included?

The six-course Experience Menu is €85 per person, drinks not included. You can add the wine pairing (€45) or the homemade alcohol-free pairing (€30), combine both, or choose from the wine list.

Which days are you open? What about Thursday or Sunday?

The shared table takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings only: all guests are expected at 7:30 pm for the aperitif, and dinner then starts for the whole table at the same time. The Thursday Discovery Menu no longer exists since 2025. From Sunday to Thursday, lunch or dinner, the restaurant opens only for private bookings, from eight guests.

How long does the evening last?

Allow about three hours. The evening ends without haste.

We are a group of 8 to 14: how can we have the table to ourselves?

Two options. On Friday or Saturday evening, book all twelve seats online and the table is entirely yours. On other days, lunch or dinner, the restaurant can be privatised from 8 and up to 14 guests, by phone or e-mail. The menu remains the six-course Experience Menu at the same price; the start time is agreed with you. The chef sends you the menu about two weeks beforehand and collects the final headcount, allergies and any children’s menus at that point.

Are children welcome?

At the Friday and Saturday shared table, the format (single menu, three hours at the table) suits curious teenagers better than young children. For a private booking, however, children are welcome: the chef prepares a simplified three- or four-course menu for them, and for toddlers you may bring their own meal.

Can I book via Messenger, Instagram or by phone?

The safest way is online booking: it shows the seats actually available, confirms instantly and lets you change or cancel yourself. Facebook and Instagram messages are not read every day; for an urgent request, call +32 465 81 21 94. If your date is not yet visible online, write to us.

What if we are late, cannot come, or our numbers change?

The link in your confirmation e-mail lets you change or cancel until the day before. On the day itself, please call us: the table only seats twelve and each menu is prepared for a precise number of guests. If you are running late, let us know: the evening starts at 7:30 pm for the whole table. For a group or a private booking, the final headcount and allergies must be confirmed at the latest one week before.

Where is Mysa, and where can I park?

Rue de Herve 133C, 4651 Battice (municipality of Herve), two minutes from the Battice exit of the E40 motorway. The restaurant is upstairs in the building behind the estate agency; free parking is available at the back. Allow fifteen minutes from Verviers, half an hour from Liège, forty minutes from Maastricht or Aachen.

Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately not: the dining room is upstairs and reached by an outdoor staircase, with no lift. If someone in your party walks with difficulty, let us know when booking: we will help on arrival and seat you near the entrance.

How do I offer a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are ordered online on our shop (open amount or €50, 100, 150, 200) and arrive by e-mail within minutes, to print or forward; no date needs to be chosen at purchase, the recipient books whenever they like. Prefer a paper voucher? Let us know by phone and collect it at the restaurant. We do not accept the town of Herve’s shopping vouchers.

Do you offer take-away, catering or themed packages?

No. Mysa offers neither take-away nor catering, and there is no special package for birthdays, stag or hen parties or corporate events: these occasions are celebrated around the same Experience Menu, by privatising the table. The intimate dining room is not suited to entertainment.

Are you open all year round?

The restaurant closes a few weeks a year, usually a fortnight in July and a period around the festive season or between two menus. Reopening dates open for booking as soon as they are known. For the festive season and Valentine’s Day, book early: those evenings fill up several weeks ahead.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Bancontact, credit cards and cash.
